Riding Knife

If I can attach the picture, here is a knife I made for a friend who rides horses. He wanted a knife that would be ready-access on his hip while riding to cut reigns, rope, etc which he says horses can get wrapped up in. He wanted the curved handle with finger grip, so that's what he got. The sheath has two belt loops. One is traditional on the handle leather above the snap, the other is sewn into the back of the blade part of the sheath angled at about 45 degrees so it won't hit the saddle when he rides.

It is 1/8" CPM 154. Blade is 4 1/2" and 9" overall. The scales are cocobolo lightly stained to get rid of some orange tones I didn't like. Pins are mosaic. Bolsters are nickle silver. A bit heavy for my taste, but he loves it.

Very good. BTW Benchmade has some excellent seat belt cutters that might be better for that use .You wouldn't have a risk of cutting the horse or rider. I have their heaviest one since I work at car rallies and may have to cut heavy race type seat belts. I've seen bull riding where they use a knife but that's hazardous with the bull jumping around !
