I'm looking for a rifle, but the catch is, it has to be pretty cheap. Any recommendations? No .22's please. I live in CA, so no "assault rifles" either, haha.
Thanks.
Thanks.

i just got a Slavia 631.
It is extremely nice.
Isn't that an Air Rifle?
I was thinking about those two, but I'd really rather have a semi automatic rifle. I'll probably fall back on one of those two if I can't find any semi auto rifles though.
yep
but as I recall, isnt Jeffery 16?
I recently bought a #4 Mk1 for $150. Serial numbers don't match, but it is arsenal overhauled excellent condition with an excellent bore. 1945 dated. 10 shot magazine. With Pakistani surplus, I can rapidly shoot palm sized offhand groups at 50 yards. At 100, it opens up a tinch more. I'm still getting used to the sights (where the actual POI is, elevationwise), but I can hit bowling pins (or come pretty dang close) at 100 when it comes together. The only thing is .303 ammo= expensive, compared to other surplus calibers. I also have a Finnish M-39 bolt action, which is an extremely accurate rifle. Mine cost less than $200 and shoots like a dream. It uses the ever affordable 7.62x54mmR round.I'm not up to speed on US rifle prices, but a Lee Enfield of one model or another will rarely be a bad choice.
Actually, I have an SKS. Well, my father does...
It has an internal mag, so it's all good. It's kinda inaccurate though.
