I did not intend to make knife historically correct just my interpretation of a knife that was used when rifles only held one shot and loaded from the muzzle.
Forged from 5160 carbon steel
Heat treated to Rc 58-60 with three normalizing and two tempering cycles in my Evenheat furnace creating a fine grain structure throughout the blade
Flat grind with hammered texture on the flats
Professionally stabilized figured maple handle
Overall length: 15 inches
Blade: 9 1/2 inches
Leather scabbard with a belt loop large enough for a gun belt for a right hand carry
Reduced to $290 delivered within the US. My PayPal and email address is gldrewknives@gmail.com
