Riggers Knife Question

Here's a Schrade Cut Co rigger's knife with bone scales. Don Luis, those aren't knots, they're works of art!

Is that a slightly serrated blade?

Thawk,
I don't think it's serrated, although the lines are very evenly spaced but not very deep. Also, they're at kind of an angle to the plane of the blade. There doesn't seem to have been much, if any sharpening done to the blade, which still has an etch that says "Appel and Co over New York and Miami". Kind of a mystery.

I have a Schrade rope knife with fine teeth on it. I think they experimented with blade serrations for rope cutting.

Charlie,
Maybe they are then. Definitely not made by a grinder or a belt. I'd really like to snag a Schrade /Walden version of this knife in bone. I've seen a few but most are the delrin variety.
