i'd like to get my dad a nice rigging knife for his 60th bday. he's into sailing, and he used to have a buck yachtsman that he liked a lot and lost. i think that they no longer make that knife, do any of you know a good, solid rigging knife (sheepsfoot blade, marlin spike, lanyard eyehole).

thanks,

daniel

Price range?

These run from relative low priced to unbelievable, depending on maker.

$300ish?... looking for something nice, possibly getting it engraved... saw the fox/ag russel sea master. those look cool. anything else?

Camillus made one when they were USA made. Still readily found, for around $70.00. For $ 300.00, I would suggest a custom.

Google "Boye Knives" -- cobalt sailing knives.
good stuff, right in your price range.

Stumbled over this thread and appreciate the link. Been meaning to buy a Boye knife for over a decade, clicked the link today, and made a purchase. Thanks.
