Right now, how many knives can you touch?

In my RF pocket, three. If I lean or bring the rollator closer, I can reach another two.
If I roll my chair (without standing) about 12 feet over to the how ever the French spell "closet" thing, another 15 or 20; provided I stand up after unlocking and opening the door. The knives are on an upper shelf.
Without standing after opening it, all I could reach is the single bit Hoosier pattern axe I keep in it.

without opening any drawers, four. SAK, a stockman, a cheapo little auto, Bear and sons bali. If I were to open drawers probably at least four or five more.

Sorry--was making a reference to the Douglas Adams' book: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. "42" is the "answer to the ultimate questions of life, the universe, and everything." Or something like that.

Not at all. That is fair game. In fact I had heard that before, it is embedded in our popular culture. That book is one that everybody has read, except for a few outliers like me; I have merely read about it. It is not the first time I have been befuddled in the last couple of days.
