Rike Knife RK1508s Review

Going to mention it in general discussion, but figured this was the best place to let the people that have been trying to get ahold of one of these know that they stayed producing 1508's again. They'll be hitting the online distributors over the next week or so, supposedly. Their site lists their distributors, and one of them already has four in Stock (3 after I place my order) at the moment. Unsure if they are a paid advertiser so I'll have you check for yourselves.

Just got mine in the mail from their new batch. They didn't note any changes on the product page, bUT it seems that the v2.0 no longer has the tiny stop pin but the stop pin is just milled into the frame. At work now but will upload a pic when I get a chance. Definitely looks nicer not having that metal screw standing out against the beautiful anodization but am not sure how sturdy the thin piece of milled in ti will be

First day with it and I love it so far. Not quite as smooth as my Kizer Gemini, but certainly flips well. Only real complaint is the clip. It looks great and works great, once you've managed to get it in pocket. I work a white collar job, and wear dress pants to work most days. This clip is going to eat them up. Because it lays directly in a milled out groove it holds firmly to your pocket, which I like, however the clip doesn't have much clearance between the tip and the frame and it snags the pocket when going in and will fray then with extended use. It may not be an issue with jeans due to their toughness, but it certainly puts a strain on dress pants and even my cargo pants pockets.

After sitting here flipping it open dozens of times it is becoming evident to me just how sharp the bottom corner is. The corner digs into your palm when you flip it, not hard enough to be an issue unless sitting and flipping it open and closed repeatedly, but it definitely is a hotspot that should have been rounded off.

The picture of the blade stop milled into the titanium replacing the screw in the new versions, as promised.

The pocket clip. You can see that there is not much separation between the tip (which is a bit pointy) and the frame, which results in the pocket snagging on the edge of the pant pocket.

Side views of the knife. Note that the new version no longer has a screw for the stop pin breaking the clean lines of the frame up near the pivot

I just got the new version as well. Awesome knife. But the milled stop pin does seem like it could be a weak spot. It looks better for sure, but it's not like you could fix it if it were to fail.

I Also own this exact knife. And converted to at least looking at knives from China that are a bit pricey. If this knife was produced in the U.S. the Lord only knows what it would have cost. GREAT REVIEW NO B.S. sounds like you are a convert. But be careful there are people in China already making clones of "Rikeknife" as well as "WEknife" ETC.
