Ring gidgee

A dredged up thread and I fell for it again! :rolleyes:

Oh well... I still like Ringed Gidgee and still hope Jason's doing okay... :o
 
Very nice handle material from both a practical and visual point of view.
However people always seem to be attracted to the rare and difficult to obtain.
 
I had an oportunity to use Ringed Gidgee about a year ago and was very impressed. I looked for a while and somehow I got conected with Bruce(Bushworker?) and Stephane Merchant and they have a very nice product.
Roger, I was also thinking the dense wood would especially be good for a Bowie by contributing to the balance. I'll try to get one built soon and post it.
Ironwood is hard to beat for its combined beauty and durability, but I think Gidgee will come very close.:) Lin
