Ring grip Army issue Kukri, A correction for collectors

Basically, it was the same guy, that has Banned by moderators, or banned under his screen name. They found him, because all of those screen names had the same IP address.

I see. Now I recall Munk stating that the real Spiraltwista told him he wasn't involved. What can I say, that is sad, as there is enough place on the market for both companies. Simply sad.

Man, reading that thread just sapped all the energy out of me. I was planning to buy a khuk from those guys at some point but there's no way that's gonna happen now.

I bought his biggest, most expensive one. It was a 19in 15oz partial tang Goorkhali. Like I said earlier, the edge was warped to the right when looking down the spine. The "wave" in the edge isn't that bad considering the length and very narrow spine. It is a partial tang model meant strictly for fighting. It's a chettri style blade not meant for any type of chopping. I was lucky and got a pretty decent blade.
The sheath was another story.. Very poorly finished with dye still bleeding off. The frig looked moldy but I later discovered it was just hastily finished and had a molted appearance. I kept finding stains on my blade so I looked inside my sheath only to find it stuffed with cardboard shims on he side and newspaper stuffed in the bottom. I took all that garbage out and not the kukri feels like it will fall out just by jogging slowly. It wobbles around like crazy, it is uber easy to sheath and unsheath.
My biggest issue is the owner. He has a screw loose IMHO. He makes multiple accounts and has conversations with himself... Can you say crazy narcissist? He always uses the "traditional" or "historical" terms to describe what he does but none of yhe techniques he teaches have anything to do with tradition. He uses excuses and double talk.

I was trying to make a point to him one day. He kept referring to the weight of HI kukris and how the Gurkhas would never use them. I simply staes that people today are a lot larger in stature and have an equal increase in strength, making it possible to wield heavier blades with equal effectiveness. He went on to say the Gurkhas fought he Germans who were large people... ? Double talk... He will never give you a straight answer, he will never respond to a question with a black and white answer. He has a few groupies that drink his cool aid and he gets off in that sooo very much. Three words that come to mind are pompous, arrogant, self serving. You will get a decent kukri 50% of the time IMHO, and an attitude 100% of the time.
