Ring opener

Really nice little knife, but - seventy bucks! Is it just me or does that seem steep? When I stop and think about it, a box of cigars is about that much and when you're done smoking them you don't have anything left but a box to store your knives...so I guess it wouldn't be the worst waste of my money. I just wish they were thirty dollars.

Is there a reason this little ring opener is in the seventy dollar price range? Are they hard to make?

Well hell! You only live once. I am going to buy one right now. I will post a review once it arrives.

im in on the forum buy and remember reading they a real pain to build because of the extra parts involved

the Canal Street "Sleeveboard Ring Opener" arrived today and I can honestly say that it is the nicest folding knife I've ever bought. Really nice fit and finish. Tight as a drum - no blade play and good snap. Blade is sharp as hell! Really nice little knife.

My only problem is that I want to carry it and know that I shouldn't! I have 4 Schrade EDC, I don't need to carry this one, but it's a perfect little EDC.

Mine just arrived from Cumberland today also. The build quality is near-perfect and I'm very happy with my order. The jigged bone handles are beautiful, and the nickel silver bolsters are perfect. I didn't realize that there would actually be two ring openers, one for the blade and a seperate opener for the nail tool. Very nice work!

In answer to Waynorth's question, yes. The two blades share a single backspring. It's quite strong too, with a good snap.

Mine also arrived today. It is indeed a magnificent little knife. Outstanding fit and finish. Hair popping sharp right out of the box. I am very well pleased. This gem just begs to be carried.
