Here is a ringed knife with stabilized redwood burl. There is a little burl in the handle, but it is not extensive.
I did a convex grind on this one and it turned out fairly well.
The blade is 1084 and was clay coated and quenched for a nice hamon.
The spine is fileworked all the way around the ring.
The sheath is leather and is made to be worn in the pocket. I have started wearing my knives this way, and will probably not go back.
It can be clipped to a belt on the left side, or on the right side for a reverse draw. There is a picture of my own personal knife being carried this way in the 'ringer in g10 thread', but I can't post a picture in two threads.
