This is a design of mine that is probably 8 years old or so. I haven't made one in quite a while (probably about 7 years) but I came across some 1095 that I had cut the hole in already, so I thought I would make another one. It is designed to have the little finger through the hole. It lets the knife swing out if you have to do something with your hands while skinning or cutting, then with a flick of the wrist, it is back in position. The ring also makes it really easy to draw from the sheath. Just loop the little finger and tug. It has a convex grind on a rotary platen, and clay quenched for a nice vivid hamon.

The handle is bone shaped to fit in the hand well. It is held in place with pins and G-flex epoxy.

The sheath is 7-8oz leather from Wickett and Craig. It is hand tooled and as stated before, the knife draws easily with a tug on the ring, but it is also held securely.

Dimensions - 3 1/4" tip to handle
OAL - 7 3/4"

Price - $225 shipped to US. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.

It is also posted elsewhere, so the first time stamp saying "I'll take it!" gets it.

That is very cool. My biggest concern with lanyards is they tend to roll off your finger. I would assume the corners of the metal ring gives a superior pinky finger grip.

Everything works together here. The finger hole, the sheath design align well. The forged/hammered texture of the blade and the hamon compliment each other well. Really, really nice.

Dang it!! My wife is gonna kill me!! I'll take it!!
Edit: Guess I need to learn to read better...Maybe next time

Would be nice as a bird and trout type of thing too cause you could keep it looped on your pinky while using both hands processing game and then go right back to cutting.
