This is a 5160 Ringtail with stabilized box elder burl

Even though this is 5160 and you are not supposed to draw a decent hamon from it, I have with a clay quench. I like it, it is not as bold as a 1084 hamon, but it has more cloudiness in the transition area.

The handle is stabilized box elder burl. It is really nice stuff, the pictures dont do it justice.

The sheath is leather and designed for ambidexterous horizontal carry.

Dimensions
Blade - 4 3/4" tip to handle

OAL - 9 1/4"

Price - $200 shipped to Continental US. I prefer paypal to mlwbailey@yahoo.com, but will accept checks or money order.

The first "I'll take it." gets it.

Very cool knife Matt. I'll..........take it!:D

Once you confirm, I'll send paypal ASAP.

Very cool, I love the knife I got from you last year. This one looks just as nice! I'll get the paypal to you tonight.
Thanks!

This one should hold up just as well. Before I finished it, I sharpened it up and did some cutting with it, it cuts like a lightsaber. The design of the handle was made so that you can put your little finger through the hole, or just grasp it by the handle, all four fingers outside of the hole equally as easily.

nice knife and sheath design. I love all your knives. That is a great pair with the Ruger in the photo as well.

The ringtail arrived a couple days ago and it's great! Love the design and craftsmanship. The sheath is perfect; quite possibly the most comfortable sheath I've ever had. Matt, your leather working skills are improving nicely!:D Mark me down as a big fan of your work.

Praxis, I am glad you like it. Leather working is something that I have to learn because it is a part of knifemaking, so I do sheath days and spend all day working on sheaths for knives that I have done. I guess you get better with practice.

you cant be getting rich if you are turning out such nice stuff and selling it for such a reasonable price. it looks like you have way more than $200 labor into it.

Nah, the money I make basically covers supplies and pays a couple bills. I have a full time job that eats up most of my non-knife time. I do it cause I love it.
