In my life as a car owner, house owner and small business owner I’ve paid hundreds of thousands of dollars in insurance premiums. One policy alone ran $32K a year for third party liquor liability. I’m glad now I’m retired and don’t have to suffer this calamity. In NYC Mayor De Blaisio has hinted he won’t allow indoor dining until a vaccine is successful. That’s two years off with widespread vaccinations for the general public. Business interruption insurance was just a scam for those that paid.
As a car owner, one time I spent 13 months suing Aetna through the state insurance board to get a full reimbursement for a stolen car.
Small claims are usually not a problem. It’s the big ones you have to worry about.
IMHO, insurance, as a concept, is the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on society. Thank you not, Benjamin Franklin.
