RIP Maniacal Pete 5-26-2014

When I saw this thread, I hoped it was some kind of joke. I haven't been on BF for as long as some of you, but in the year or so I've been hanging out here I have separated a lot of members into "good guys" and "not so good guys". Bill was defiantly in the first. He will be missed......
 
I'm still in shock from hearing this news. Bill was not only a great guy on the forum he was also one heck of a great guy to meet.
One trip to Salt Lake City he drove down from Park City to meet up with me even though I would only be there for a few minutes. On his way he stopped at a sandwich shop that had been in Diners Drive Ins and Dives and bought me one of their famous meatball sandwiches. Just because he thought I'd like it.

I can't imagine anyone not liking him. I know I'm going to miss him a lot.

Bill was a splendid individual and will be greatly missed. :(

I enjoyed rewatching many of my old favorite comedy shows as I revisited them talking with Bill about some of the old and modern classics. From "Red Dwarf" and the "The Fast Show" to "The Goodies" and "Brass eye" and many others besides. It was a pleasure knowing you Bill, old chap. :):thumbup:
 
Damn it. Boom and he's gone.What a great loss.

Sigh, he was a fun dude to be around. Had some good discussions with him. R.I.P MP.

You will be missed.
 
I learned a lot from him. I had a lot of great times with Bill here on the forums over the last couple years, and a couple heated arguments too... sometimes that happens. I feel it's important to mention that he was always quick to "agree to disagree" and he always (in a virtual sense) shook hands and made up. That shows strength of character. :thumbup:

Nothing but respect and love from me and mine to Bill and his. I hope that somehow, word of his positive impact on all of us here, will get back to his family.

Sad to hear - he came in here and was beat up and took it, and then fit right in. I will miss him. A toast to Maniacal Pete!

Rest in Peace Bill, never met you but exchanged enough E-mail that I thought I knew you. Never thought this would happen
 
Didn't know him well, but he was one of those whose posts I always tried to read. One of the good guys.
