Damn, another good one gone. R.I.P., Mel. I met Mel back in the early '90s at a NY Show, spent some time BS'ing and I bought a couple of knives off him. One was an auto, made with Steve Schwarzer Damascus, it was a beauty.

Sad news indeed. RIP, Mel Pardue. His Benchmade designs like the Griptilian, the 531 & the 530 “folding dagger” lives on as timeless classics.
