RIP Ron "Roc" Ellis

Good guy who always stepped up and helped newbies out like myself. Always very nice, and a real classy fellow on the forums.

We were supposed to meet in Cambridge this last year. When he did not show, I figured he got busy and I would talk to him on line.

Well Roc, I will tell you this, I really enjoyed our conversations and our on line

chats. I will miss your big smile and strong handshake.

Fred

I didn't know him but know that friends and family of him are hurting right now. I'm sorry for your loss and sounds as if the knife making community lost a another treasure.

Mike, I finally put 2 & 2 together after seeing a post in the Outpost. He was a goodone. Sorry to hear he is no longer with us.

Yes, he was a good one. He loved knives, and I mean loved 'em with a passion. From the crudest, funkiest newbie effort to the fanciest art knife to a rusty old piece of junk someone found in a drawer in grandpa's old shop, he loved 'em all. He said, "I find something I like in every knife I see." There's a lesson in that for all of us.

I feel blessed to have gotten to chat with him and get to know him on Paltalk over the last several years. He was always fun and upbeat. I am sad I never got to shake his hand. Nonetheless, he brightened my life, as he did for so many of us.

Yeap, Rest In Peace, Brother Roc. We miss you. I bet yer jawjacking with the Archangel about his sword right now, aren't ya? :)
