He posted a flytanium PM2, I posted "I'll take it" and paid immediately. He PM'd that he'd get it in the mail same day. After 4 or 5 days with no response to my PM's asking for tracking info or shipping confirmation, he informed me that he had personal issues and never shipped and that he'd refund my money.

I then received this from Paypal very early yesterday:

"An eCheck payment from Eric Gant was declined by the sender's bank"

I reached out to Eric Gant immediately and have heard nothing. A little communication would go a long way...
 
If you had paid using Goods & Services, you ought to have Buyer's Protection from PayPal.
 
Yes if you paid Goods & Services and you get no response from the seller that issued you a refund but it didn't come through ... contact PayPal and inform them and open a claim ... from what you posted ... if thats the way the transaction went and G&S was used to pay ... PayPal should take care of it.
 
Sorry for your issue. I hope you paid G&S. I always try to negotiate the fees into the sale price both when I’m selling and buying. If the buyer really wants to pay f & f.... I’ll let them because I know everything on my end will be done right, but at the end of the day it’s not the best way to go
 
I did use G&S. Paypal is saying that they are trying to collect on the bounced check.

Of course they're trying to go down their own procedural motions before they write it off as a loss and pay you from their own coffers. It is not as easy as it used to be getting an eBay / PayPal account these days as it used to be back in the days and as much PITA as it is when set ups and verifications take long, by and large and for the most parts, these measures are intended to "protect" the consumer. While it is true that we the honest folks all pay at the end of the day through incremental increase in fees as loss mitigating measures, we also understand that these regulations are necessary evils for the most parts so that e-Commerce based on trust does not completely fall apart.
 
He emailed me a little while ago and told me that he had paid me. I sent him the email I got from Paypal indicating his check had bounced and he's been silent ever since. I'll post any resolution, etc.
 
Oooops!! I thought the seller declined the e check.

Get in touch with PP right away, explain the situation. They’ll help you out of this mess. Might take some time though.

I believe he's out 210.00 since the check isn't any good apparently.

Call them... They are the ones who have your money.

And I would post sellers name on here so others can avoid if he doesn't pay up.
 
The so-called seller refuses to return my money. This guy is a flat-out thief. I want the community to understand that this guy took my money sent me nothing and is fully aware of what he has done. Here's the latest from PayPal

Yes, I have escalated to a claim. He has 10 days to respond for some reason. He continues to refuse to pay and is acting like his payment to Paypal didn't bounce.
