This is a variation of my original "Riptide" design that I have been making for several years. This blade is designed for pikal applications, and would make an excellent EDC defensive blade or "anti gun grab" tool.

The blade is made from .187" D2 steel, and features a full flat grind. I performed all heat treat and tempering operations. The blade is tempered to 60 HRC for excellent edge holding characteristics. The blade features my "Paleolithic" finish, and is slightly darker than it appears in pictures.

The handle is constructed from black G10 that is secured to the tang via 3 screws. The knife is very secure in hand, and handles very well.

The blade is obviously designed for hooking/pulling movements, but is also well suited for stabbing or drawpoint methods!

This is a great carry blade for Pikal/Edge In fans!

- D2 Steel
- 60 HRC
- .187" Stock
- Full Flat Grind
- Paleolithic Finish
- Black G10 handle secured with screws
- Razor Sharp
- Just under 9.00" OAL, with a cutting edge of about 3.5"
- Secure Kydex Sheath

Headed to the post office tomorrow; this one needs to go!

Sold! Thanks Guys!

This is amazing. Pikal is a preferred knife fighting grip for me when it comes to smaller sized knives. This looks like outstanding work.

If I had the money I would buy this in a second.

Much appreciated!

Yeah, pikal makes a lot of sense for smaller blades. Very intuitive method of using a knife. Hook and pull! LOL.

You did a beautiful job. I also have pikal knives in various sizes. Clinch pick, spyderco pikal and the big one, spyderco reverse.

I have always wanted a knive sort of like the street beat but with a mostly ground and sharpened spine with a little bit unground for a thumb landing. Then a ring on the butt.

That would be my ultimate fighting/ utility knife. I could use the spine side slightly hooked edge for pikal.

thank you for putting this up here. Never see any SD knives for sale and this is a beauty. a bit big for me to EDC but will keep an eye out for other items from you!! Great price and nicely done .
