Rit Dye carbon fiber scales

The only information I can find on dying knives involves either G10 or FRN. I'm wondering if it's possible, or if any even has, successfully dyed carbon fiber scales. Understandably carbon fiber is very dark so I wouldn't expect more than a tint, similar in a way to look of the Shirogorov scales.

I wouldn't count on being able to dye carbon fiber because the same resin that is used in fiber glass is used in carbon fiber and fiber glass does not absorb water.
