No need to disassemble, the dye will NOT stain the steel parts. If I were going to do a Delica, do I need to disassemble it. Or will the dye not stain the steel
I've gotten it wet and it has not run at all.will the dye run if the handle gets we again?
I dunked it for short periods of time to closely monitor my progress. Maybe 30 seconds to a minute at a time. I fashioned a hook out of a piece of wire I had laying around and put that through the spydie hole with the blade in the closed position. Doesn't take too long for the scales to take the dye. You can control the color by leaving it in for a longer or shorter time. The gray scales take the color very nicely, it's a good base color to dye. Good luck, post before and after pics!!Shadow449,
I was looking at royal blue dye this weekend to dye my Stretch Super Blue scales- same gray color as your Delica. How long did you soak the scales?
