Anybody have any experience RIT dying a Delica? I've got one that's got orange scales, but I'd like for them to be FDE, OD, or even black.

It's quite easy and there are YT vids showing how.

BUT ... you can only dye darker and the base color will affect the outcome. EX: Yellow handle + Blue Dye = Green result

You cannot dye a strong color into a lighter color. It just does not work that way. You can dye a lighter color darker, but that is about it. They actually do sell a brown Endura/Delica, that might be a better and easier option. There is also a Khaki colored one out there with a reverse tanto tip (Khar) it would be up to you to swap blades.

With the orange handle, you will not get green of any shade, and you would have to experiment to get a brown-ish color, and it will either have an orange tint to it or it will be turd-brown. FDE it will not be. About the only one that will look decent will be black.
