Ritter Grip

I know the grind is still different, but I'm also under the impression that the belly to tip area used to look more like an Izula than it has for a while.

Those are my thoughts exactly!!!

The lack of belly is still throwing me off and I'm glad you notice the change over the productions, as well.

Don't want you to get a crook in your neck.

LOL... Thanks :D

I also think they have changed some. Even if they are finished by hand, the basic overall shape shouldn't change much. Maybe it's just me, but I think the contour of the spine is a little different as well.
I hope they don't change them. That is the one thing that truly sets the Ritters apart.

For a side-by-side comparison here is a picture of my New Ritter Mini and M4 Mini Griptilians. The cutting edge on these blades are not that much different.

Would there be anyone willing to do measurements on their (older) ritter? Blade height mainly being the most important factor here.

Supercoup, mine looks very similar to yours and after looking at other pics I thought there may be a difference. However, I started resizing the pics until the pictured Ritter was the same size as mine and it appears that they're all the same. Same length, width, grind height, and blade shape. I'd chalk it up to camera angles playing tricks with your eyes.

Mine sees quite a bit of use especially since it just gets dropped into my right front pocket.

Interesting that you say that....

When I was deciding to buy between a Ritter and regular, I noticed that the blade edge is exactly the same between the Ritter and the regular knife. The only difference I could see from compairing them side to side was that the Ritter is taller in the top half of the blade and the gimped ramp is longer.

I decided it was not worth the extra money.

I put my cash in some Wilkins aluminum scales.
