I can't seem to find it but there was a video of someone burying a Griptilian in dirt and sand and all other kinds of abuse. The Axis lock worked flawlessly.Just can't seem to find the video.
BTW $175 for the REI G-10, full metal liners with standoffs and S30V is a steal. Considering it cost me more than that to upgrade my full Ritter to G-10 scales (once you include the original cost of the knife plus price of scales).
