For sure and only time will tell .I heard from a prominent knife reviewer, who spoke to Doug at Blade. Something might have gotten misinterpreted along the way there - who knows.
Thanks for your reply

I’ve been cutting rope with mine some card board and it’s been outstanding .Handled one at BLADE and I was impressed. Lock-up was good, blade centering was on, action was smooth, and fit & finish was good. I did see/feel what others mentioned about the clip being a possible hotspot. Easy fix though.
About the only reservation I'd have is if the RC of Hogue's M390 came back soft. So many issues popping up lately.
This is one of the more tempting knives I’ve come across in some time. Hogue has excellent quality control, and the overall design is appealing to me.
It even looks like the thumbstud is removable (pictures show a torx-shaped inset in the stud on the show side), which, if accurate, makes this a difficult knife to resist buying despite already having a pretty complete assortment of good working knives.
Not a big fan of thumbstud knives, and the only one I’m presently happy with is my Recon 1. So, if that stud is not easily removed, I at least have a reason to not spend $150+ on another knife I’m not allowed to use at work.

I would be down with this. I have a mini grip in 20cv, but I really like the blade grind much better on the Ritter.I'm still hoping for a mini version down the line......
Well.... the “update” might be what just popped up on the KnifeWorks website: a version with a black cerakoted blade, black Able lock, and black screws. The whole knife is “murdered out” except for the thumbstuds.I heard from a prominent knife reviewer, who spoke to Doug at Blade. I was just wondering if that’s the same MXG clip for the Grip. I have an MXG deep carry benchmade clip and I assume it will work on the Ritter but wanted to ask.I’m loving this Hogue Ritter what a great knife . It’s really hard though to rotate in my EDC carry line up because I always want it in my pocket lol .
Just added this MXG DP and now I’m in love with it even more, feels so good in hand . Really like the beefy T8 screws to
Great knife and great clip !
