Ritter Mini Grip Blade Play?

So I just got my first mini grip, a new M390 Ritter model. This is the first knife I've ever had with an axis lock, so this may be totally normal, but should my mini grip have side to side blade play even when it's too tight to flip closed with the axis lock fully depressed? I didn't know exactly what to expect as the only benchmade knives I had handled were a 32 bali and a benchmite II that I got years ago before I had any idea what benchmade was.

Any help would be appreciated.

No that is not normal.

If this is a new knife the easiest thing to do is return it to the retailer (KW) for replacement, their customer service is second to none and if you received it that way I'm sure they will replace it for you. Just give them a call.

Another option is to contact BM customer service and they will either walk you threw a solution and or have you ship it in for service. BM's CS is the best in the business and they will take good care of you.
