Ritter Mini Grip v. LE M4 Mini Grip

After giving it some thought, I just don't know if I can pull the trigger on the mini version of either. $120 is a lot for a small EDC. I'd feel like I got my money's worth if I bought the full size, where I can use it for about any task. I wish they made the mini grip handle length the same as the mini presidio 525

You might want to consider the small Bone Collector. It's based more on the 525 platform than the 556 so it'll feel more like a small Presidio, if you've handled one of those. The G10 on the BC has a much better feel to me than the aluminium of the 520/525 series. It'll be D2 instead of M4 or S30V, but it's an EDC folder with a 3" blade. D2 should perform very nicely for that range of tasks. Always has for me, anyway. No worries with corrosion, good combination of toughness and edge holding, no harder to keep sharp than S30V with the right kit.

And... small BC are available for less $ than either of your other choices.

I got the M4 and agree that I regret getting a mini. disapointed on how small it actually is. When will I learn my lesson with mini's? I had a mini onslaught and mini ak47. sold them,...why, becuase their too small. I will probably keep it but recomend getting a full size, this thing is tini-tiny.

Haha. Yeah they are considerably smaller than the full sized, but a good EDC size.
I am definitely keeping my M4 mini grip.

You can't go wrong with the Ritter, the M4 Grip or the Bone collector.

The Ritters, large and small, are just about my favorite shape.
I particularly like them with the aftermarket Kevin Wilkins grips -- but that puts the package price pretty close to the stratosphere.

Be aware also that, in my experience at least, BM has recent QC issues with the Ritters.
Both BM and KW stand behind their products, but it is annoying, to say the least.

Dollar for dollar, the small BC might be the best buy of these three.
It is a great size for EDCing.
But you have to like the skull logo!

I haven't figured out why some say they are to small. I know everyone has preferences on size, but I'm 6'2" / 220 and have fairly big hands, and the minis fit like a glove.

i love all the mini's they work well for me as a e.d.c. I think after market scales really add to the knife.
