I had ordered, and with a discount from Mr. Ritter, one of his RSK Mini-Grips, with the yellow handle. It arrrived today!! WOW, I LOVE it!! Mine has the S30V blade. I ordered to late to get the M2. Oh well. This is a fantastic little knife, that is solidly built. Now, I have to decide which I like better, Spyderco's ball bearing lock, or the Benchmade Axis lock. I feel that the Spyderco ball bearing lock IS smoother than the axis lock. But, I like how when the blade is almost closed, that it snicks closed with authority. Anyway, the knife is wicked sharp. I LOVE it!! Thank you Mr. Ritter for the coupon too!! This is one fabulous knife!! I highly recommend it!!

too late for the M2? they took down the link because there was less M2 than they thought. It just went back up and they're selling 340 (?) of them, half full, half mini. I ordered a full size yesterday and got a confirmation e-mail.

The S30V steel is just fine and, I am very happy with mine. In the manner that most will use this knife, I doubt the M2 steel offers any real advantage. And, I prefer the silver blade anyway.

Blade deployment is extremely easy and smooth. And, like you say, that last bit of closing action gives you comfort that the blade has securely closed. It's very nice action. Certainly competitive with the Spydero hole deployment. I tend to favor the "Ritter" with possibly the exception of the "D'Allara" and, the "Stretch", both which appear to equal the extreme ease of operation of the "Ritter".

I guess I could have wished for carbon fiber or, G10 scales but, the plastic employed on the RSK is light and grippy. Comfortable in the hand, and reasonably comfortable in the pocket.

I happen to love S30V. And I too prefer the silver blade as well. I am happy that it has dual thumb studs, which is extremely important to me!! I do think the ball bearing lock is smoother on my D'Allara 2 that my RSK mini-grip. I LOVE my RSK mini-grip. I LOVE the handle on it too; it is very comfy in the hand!!

I really like mine... I too have the yellow Ritter Mini-Grip.

I have even split firewood into kindling with it, using a baton, when I had no fixed blade with me. Still is smooth, locks up rock-solid, and sharp as can be!

Great knife :)

If I were to get a Mini Grip, that would be the one I want. I really like the yellow handle.

I have been thinking about a yellow one myself. Having a coupon to use might push me over the edge. I wonder if the M2 version will be worth the price difference over the S30V. Larry

I suspect the coupon still works. If not then email Brent at Aeromedix. I'm sure they will provide the discount. I would recommend the S30V blade. I don't like blades that are difficult to sharpen, or blackened. Just classic silver will do if you please.

If you are in a budget crunch then get a Benchmade version (Grip or mini-Grip) or, the Cabela version (I think it has D2 steel). But, everyone should have one of these. They represent the the classic axis lock, smooth and functional, lightweight modern style folder.

I am sure that the coupon still works, as I JUST ordered mine, like a week ago.

TKC,

Congrats on the new blade! I have a D2 Mini from Cabela's, which I really like, and also have an M2 Mini on order from Ritter. I placed my order the same night I had seen Mr. Ritter's post here a few weeks ago. I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on that one.

Photographs, obviously, to follow...

Ron

Yeah, I love my S30V RSK Mini-Grip. I wish I COULD have ordered one when Mr. Ritter first posted, but I could not. Alas, mine is the S30V version. I LOVE that blade material. But, I WAS hoping to snag an M2 Ritter! Se la vie!! RS2, I am looking forward to pix of yours.

I recently ordered an M2 version from Aeromedix, but was unaware that there was a coupon available. :( If it's not too much trouble, would anyone mind providing me with additional information regarding this?

I'm pretty sure the coupon was for purchase of S30V knives only - not the M2 knives which are still available (I ordered one yesterday)...

BUT due to limited steel availability they are now only making 170 M2 knives of each size, so they are truely collectables and won't last long!!

Just to clarify. The coupon is/was (no idea what the stock situation is currently) only for existing stock of RSK MkI and Mini-RSK MkI (IOW, with S30V blades) that were in Aeromedix stock at the old price. Once that stock is gone, the coupon won't work. The coupon is not for the limited edition M2 blades (RSK MkIHS and Mini-RSK MkIHS).

Thank you sir for clarifying that!! I feel better now!! I am so glad that I was able to take advantage of the coupon!! Thank you again for posting it!! I LOVE my yellow RSK Mini-grip!!

Coupon seems to be no longer valid but the M2's are still in stock as far as I can tell. I'm seriously considering getting one!

If I had the money, I would order one of the M2's now too. The site says that they are shipping in April. I LOVE my RSK Mini-grip! Yeah, the coupon was good for the instock S30V RSK's.
