i was thinking about getting a ritter mk3 and wanted to get your thoughts on it beforehand. can anybody give me any insight?

I just got a new kydex sheath for my Ritter today. It carries high and close to the body. I like it.

I got the fixed Rittergrip Mk3 as soon as it came available and I really REALLY like it. Doug got it right with this knife - at least for my needs. I wanted a mid-length drop point blade and I'm thrilled that its in S30V, which I've enjoyed in my Mk1.

I also wanted a lightweight thinnish blade knife - the Mk3 is just that.

The handle shares the same great shape as the Mk1. I like that it's rounded butt-end allows it to fit comfortably in my larger hands. The texture of the slabs are perfect - not too smooth - not too rough - and it looks beautiful.

The sheath is probably the weakest part of the Mk3 package, BUT it is still a nice sheath with lots of carry options. It just takes some getting used to.

You won't be disappointed AT ALL.

I really like the looks of the Ritter, but can't see paying that much. I'm thinking a fixed griptilian in D2 would be nice though..
