Just ordered one. I guess I don't have to feel bad, since it's been a while since I've ordered a Becker, or in this case a Becker-collaborated knife. Tax refunds are the...well, you know.

Three plugs are included and screw into the handle near the pommel. They change the balance of the knife. Ethan likes the knife without the plugs and Doug likes them all in. The instruction sheet states that with all the plugs in and the handles installed, the balance is neutral. Each plug removed moves the balance point about .2 inches forward.

Micarta slabs will not fit with the plugs installed. It is possible with slight mods to the slabs. I pulled the plugs, didn't really do anything for me anyway.

You're going to love it.

Here is a picture to tease you until yours arrives :)

Nothing actually. Unlike the Ka-Bar Beckers the (Rowen manufactured) BK12 has a bead blast finish underneath the coating. just stripping it and cleaning it up with a scotch brite pad or steel wool will have it looking like that. I really wish I had left mine that way, it is semi polished now and not nearly as cool. If I ever get the time to finish polishing it it should be be better.

Hello,
here is my first Becker: the Doug Ritter RSK Mk2. I really liked the lines of the knife from the first sight on. The feeling in the hand is very good, although I modified the scale at the rear end a bit. The plugs are a fine feature, I removed one for my personal balance feeling.
