On July 20th 2004 I was e-mailed by Mike Sastre or someone using his name from River City Sheaths who stated that they would construct a kydex sheath for a bench made 42 for the price of $43. As I have stated previously the check was sent by me on July 21, 2004. It was cashed on July 29, 2004.
Since then I have received no return to my e-mails, phone calls and most importantly no sheath. I find it strange that prior to receiving any money Mr. Sastre was very easy to communicate with, however once my funds were received communication evaporated.
I have purchased custom leathercraft (holsters) from Ted Blocker, Milt Sparks, Heinie, High Noon and many other folks. I have been sending my hard earned money to custom leather work small shops and craftsman for over 30 years with nary a problem. First time though that I chose someone over the internet instead of by word of mouth reputation. I consider this a learning experience. For those of you who would deal with River City Sheaths I wish you good luck. You just might need it.
