River Season

Don't forget the life jackets. We get a couple of drownings every year at the hospital where I work. Alcohol and water is a dangerous combo. I'll get off my soap box now.

A hospital with alcohol and a pool? That's what I'm talking about. :D

It has been unusually cold here. It must have got as low as 27degC today. I've had the fire on. It think it's about 25-ish tonight. Normally it's in the low 30s.

Seriously, if I need to wear more than shorts and tshirt, it's cold.

I'm actually from Canberra (wait for it everyone) one of the coldest cities in Oz during winter. It was normal for me to ride my bike to work in -10degC in winter. Brass monkey weather! brrrrrrr

I'm going to sit by the fire. Murray, fetch my slippers...

Hahahaha Murray. . . . Wow that is really cold, Rob! It's beautiful here :D

Boating....sigh....I have to wait for the annual trip to Hawaii since my brother has a fishing boat there we tangle with the Ahi tuna...But lots of Drinking...More work than Leisure....;):D

High speed boats are fun but you spill to much beer. I prefer a nice pontoon boat.

Put it in a Camelback hydration pack :) No Spills, I think it would work with Blue Label Too :)

I was drinking out of bottles that day, I could picture myself taking a drink and hitting a wave then spitting my teeth out into my hand. If I had cans then, for sure I would have brought my beverage.

 *Cringe* That's a horrible thought and glad you didn't lose any teeth! You'd have to move to *insert stereotypical state here* :D

We go tubing down the American river at least 3 or 4 times a year (going in about 8 hrs actually) Surfing is a must as well when you live 10 minutes from Mavericks. No boating though. Can't afford it since I spend all my extra money on INFI.

Lexi, it's always nice to see your lovely smile, and that you are out enjoying life!..;)

Hmmm, Jerry buying at LEAST a 24" Party Barge......:D:thumbup:

Yesterday, I had the fine fortune of being invited out on a pontoon and cruising the river for the day. We stopped on one of the islands and threw a football around in the water, spent a while trying to dunk one another, and drank more than a few delicious drinks. It was a wonderful the time. The river water is finally at a wonderful temperature for enjoying an entire day, the sun on the other hand was a bit more than my skin wanted to take. I'm a little burnt, but it's a price I'm willing to way for the amount of fun that was involved. :D
