Rivets, To Add or Not to Add

I used to be a "no rivet" guy. I thought it was a sleek look.
Then I dropped a 110 on concrete and one of the epoxied covers popped off.
I also took some Custom Shop "no rivet" covers off a 110 for a project I was working on and was surprised at how a little low heat it took to weaken the epoxy for that removal.
These days I am a "rivet" guy. I now see the rivets as a beautiful part of the knife in a secure way.

I still have some 110s without rivets and like them a lot, but they no longer feel like an indestructible tool.
All my "user" knives have rivets now.

I wish all the options for the 110 were available for the 112. At least the nickel silver bolsters. If that was the case, I'd spend even more time looking at knives that I can't afford...

Amen. I really wish they'd offer a 112 with silver bolsters!
