RJ Martin Overkill

Yeah I'm curious too. This seems to be one of the most in demand blades out there right now. Does it have IKBS?

It's big, it has curves, it flips, it's a framelock. What more need I say?:D

4 inches of blade steel with a recurve means a lot of cutting surface. Though recurves aren't for everyone as it's a fairly high maintenance blade shape. Hollow grind makes it an excellent slicer. The roller thrust bearing washers makes it extremely smooth, though not quite like IKBS, you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference. Only thing I'll say is that the tip tapers down pretty thin. If I needed to stab something solid, I would use a different knife.

I have an RJM Overkill in brickyard ti. The same knife in different ti as Noctis 3880. I haven't used it much at all. It's a great knife. I don't carry it much.... I'd like to part with it

sometime soon and scratches won't help it sell. I was kind of talked into buying it by another BF member. I'd much rather have a less expensive knife I can get out there and use and not have to

worry about scratches because it's an expensive knife.

You don't want to scratch the knives that you use? You better stick to slicing bread and other soft media.

The Overkill was made to be used and I use mine. I used it so much that it became way too dull and I had to put it to the Edge Pro, which did an excellent job at bringing the blade back to better than perfect. The recurve on it isn't that extreme and it excels at all sort of cutting tasks. I've never had a problem with the tip on mine and I don't know if I really find it that thin. I wouldn't want to pry with it, but then again I wouldn't want to pry with any knife.

Anyway, what else do you want to know about it?
