I can't post a link (rules), but someone is selling two of them at $299.99 with BuyItNow.

So lame!! So two people are going to miss out on owning this knife so this #@$% can almost double his money. Get a real job!!

Sorry, its just irritating to me.

Yeah, pretty sure I don't care... Somebody will buy them and it won't be me :)

People who choose not to partake in the forums may lack the ability to take advantage of special offerings.
If these sell at those prices, it is what it is.
I am not planning to sell mine. Requesting numbers, sending quick e-mails, typing messages in the forum about how much missing out would suck, all that adds up to keepers
Since I will have 2 coming, it certainly makes it easier to use at least one. No user/safe queen delima. Most likely both will see some use, one might even get a forced patina (yet to be determined), and so on.
If these sell, secondary buyers should have sought information on the forums, could have saved some coin and met some awesome people.

That's the price of being banned or choosing not to play by the rules or not to be a forum type of person. Didn't have the coin for the preorder.so I suspect ill pay a premium at some point to get one. Later than soon I'm afraid.

I got 4 of them (1 user, 2 safe, 1 gift) and if I ever sold one, I wouldn't ask a penny more than what I paid.

I plan on using mine as a tool only, and I won't let anyone touch my beauty ;) She stays with me. Only way I see it leaving my hands is if it's pried from them or I give it to someone who really needs it.

In this case, you did NOT need to be a member of this site to order the RMD LE. All you had to do was send an e-mail at an appointed time you had to watch for. Anyone with internet access could have been watching for the "Go Button". Unless you had been previously banned by the company from buying from them, anyone could have ordered one.

It's a free market and a free country. There is not really any way for any of the Busse knife group to know who is going to flip these things and who is not (except for maybe ONE outstanding exception...), and to some extent, it is not their concern either. There could be some clue if someone bought say 10 or 20 at once, but even then who knows. Maybe they're buying some to send to friends outside of the US? I can't say that I necessarily agree or disagree with the flipping practice, but there is an easy solution; speak with your wallet and don't patronize that auction site for your Bussekin. I am sure there will be some up on the exchange before long, and likely without much markup. Finally, people are on hard times right now and will do just about anything to make money. I've seen this first hand (it was not me), and it is not pretty. (though flipping Bussekin has been happening for awhile)

PS - There are Satin Bowie RMD's on that site where the asking price is more than DOUBLE of what I paid for mine direct through the custom shop... :barf:

Yep, if people don't want to do due diligence and take the time to research prices, releases, etc let the market bear what it will bear. It's like the ZT 0560's right now. They're all over the Exchange at 50% premiums. Impatient people buy them. If everyone would tell those sellers to screw themselves prices would self-regulate and more knives would be available for real collectors.

With that said, I ordered 3 RMD LE's (1 user, 1 safe queen, 1 for a buddy).

It is a shame someone missed out on 2 blades so this seller could get 1 free......not much brotherhood in that seller, IMHO.

Correctly stated that you do not need to be a member to take part. Many, many people lurk or seek information from the Internet. Using Google will link to many of the BF threads.
I support the freedom to do what you like, buy what you want, and pay any price you like. Supply and Demand in a Free Market is a beautiful thing. Being "in-the-know" and getting things done at a lower cost is a win. Missing out on the opportunity to learn from (generally) like-minded knife-loving people on the forums could be looked at as a loss.

Good for you. Not me though, sorry. I will however pay taxes on mine. Make sure to pay use tax on those 4 you got, would hate to screw the gmen ehh?

Now if any of my friends need a RMDle, let me know and I got you at cost, otherwise, cry me a river and god bless the USA.

PS, those arent mine, but at most after fee's he will make is $50-$75, even less if he pays use tax and or tax on profits.

They took days to sell out. I really don't think this person caused anyone to miss out. If they can sell them for that much, more power to them. I bet they will sit for a while. The ebay fees will start to eat away their profits after a few listings.

He has it listed at BIN which you can do for 30 days for only .50, so $6 a year, it will sell long before it eats into his profits. Ill give one away for free if it sits longer then 4 months at that price :D

I got first dibs on the freebie if it doesn't sell. :D

That's capitalism. Would you like to be limited to what you could sells yours for? What if you lost your job or couldn't feed your family? Mine will be a keeper, I don't need the money that badly, but I wouldn't want to be looked down upon if things changed.

Oh well, such is life.......good luck to the seller but I do know some people missed out, even after Eric re-opened orders......again - such is life.
I do agree though that he is 100% free to do with his knives what he likes........I just got surprised that the "value" of my RMD LE just went up 50% in one week ! ;)
You gotta be in it to win it....

Good Lord. Not this argument again! This ain't some commie country. This is America. Its called free enterprise. People are free to sell for whatever the market will allow. Get over it! MANY, MANY hogs, dogs and rats buy extras specifically to sell for a profit to help sustain the evil habit that Busse has addicted us to. Other than the owners of the company, who are any of us to say who else is allowed to sell something they purchased, when they are allowed to sell it or for how much? So is it Ok if he waited a month, 6 months, 1 year, 5 years? Geez! And, "no" that isn't my listing, not that it matters in any way. Good luck to the dude though. I hope he makes some good scratch to help pay for his next Bussekin.
