This is an old design dating clear back to the 17th century which is still being made. Very useful knife. Named because the blade shape resembled the English/European Roach Fish; a species of Carp I believe. It was also quite popular on the North American frontiers. The thin flat ground blade and distal taper make this an excellent slicer. Specs are:
Flatground from 2.5mm(around 3/32 inch) Bohler D-2. Distal taper/satin finish/convex edge. The blade is 4 5/8 inches and OAL is 8 7/8 inches. It weighs 5.1 ounces. Bolster is copper and the scales are stabilized ( by me) Kingwood using Minwax wood hardener/vacuum. Trim is copper. Sheath is 8/10 ounce veggie tanned bridle leather; saddle stitched with welt. Waterproofed in sno-seal.
Price is 180.00USD. Includes shipping as far as the UK and no paypal fee. Check/MO accepted. My e-mail/paypal is casmircb@windstream.netThanks for looking.

They're the same price. If you'd rather have the Roach Belly, then just return the Allegheny Knife unopened and I'll send this one. Unless it sells before you read this. Don't ever say I ain't accomodating:D

No. I'll take the one you already sent.Or maybe both if nobody else gets it. I just spent a few days in Charleston and my GF managed to delete my mad money.:o:)
I do like it though.
