This knife is based on a version done by John Parks which was in the 2004 Knife Annual. I really liked the lines to it. Roach Belly BTW refers to the blade design resembling that of the Roach fish; common in England and the Continent. The design dates back to 17th century Britain, and is a good all around cutting knife design. The specs of this one are:
Steel: 2.5mm(slightly less than 3/32") D-2
Blade: Flatground with distal taper. Convex edge and finished to 600 grit.
Handle: Copper bolsters and trim. Wood is stabilized( in MinWax wood hardener) Kingwood.
Blade length: 4 1/2 inches
Blade width: 1 3/16 inches
Heat treat: Cryo by D'Holder
OAL: 8 3/4 inches
Weight: 5.1 oz
Balance Point: just behind first pins.
Sheath: 8/10 oz veggie tanned bridle leather dyed brown. Saddle stitched with welt and waterproofed in Sno-seal.
You'll have to excuse the last two pics; we're in the middle of a snowstorm here.
Price: $200.00 USD. Price includes shipping(non-insured) as far as the UK, and no paypal fees. Paypal, check, MO acceptable. My contact is joelcb@pennswoods.net. Thanks for looking:).

Man , that is nice.

It is uncommon to see knives with copper 'goodies' for want of a proper term :D I think it looks awesome.

That's a great looking knife! The copper bolsters & trim go really well with the scales. Definitely has my attention......
