I Decided at the last minute as we should have 3 days of sunshine to head out on the highway, damn the torpedoes and the pain in my hand. 😅

Dropped my mileage and riding time to less than half and more than doubled my stops.

Made it to a dark and mysterious land,or Wales as we call lt. 😁

Im all of 3 miles across the border from England.🫣

Tomorrow I will head for the Brecon Beacons and explore,I’ve a nice room for 2 nights on the 3rd day I will head home before Fridays storm.

I dare not go to far in case I get stuck.

You grab whats tried and tested when you pack quick,I’ve gone over the top so I have with me.

1,My San Francisco Sudbuster, tested around Spain.
2,A little 15
3,1978 Wenger SAK
4,84 SAK
5,91 SAK
6,Money clip SAK
7,LM under the seat.
8,LM no 10 on my key ring.

that should just about cover 3 days.🤣

Strange Welsh cows around here.

Tommorow I will look for interesting knives for you.

Nice motorcycle! At least it is something I recognize as a motorcycle. I had a Suzuki GS-750e back around 1978 or so. Sold it in the early 1980s. 4 cylinders, chain drive, air cooled. I miss those days. Of course, mainly because I miss being in my 20s :). The things they sell today as motorcycles are unrecognizable to me and the prices are insane.

Wales eh?
'Where gangs of swarthy men roam the streets and valleys singing in close quarter harmony...and you need a raincoat just pronounce the place names' E.Blackadder...
Great pics.
Take care on the road.

I keep a Huntsman and a leatherman under the seat!
Oh man, I used to have the ZRX1200 when I lived back in Bloomington. I still regret selling mine when I see one of these. Just a wonderful bike.

Wow, I love this picture :D

Thanks for sharing some great pics. I know this trip was a quick one, but I liked how you had a few American knives with you. I am sure you have some made in England in your collection that see use. ;)

Morning route planning, lots to see around here.

Never mark a map (Army rules still hold true) used my SAK to trace and point on the map.

Plastic bag has been everywhere with me it’s thick and fits a map perfectly even took it to NZ,it’s become a thing.

Inspirational story from two sister this morning when I was sat outside planning, their mum was a WW2 dispatch rider.

She had to ride and fix the bikes, riding in all weather herself.

No lights,no road signs.

She was following an American convoy one day in ice and snow and slid of the road.

They came to help her,one took of her helmet and let out in surprise “Gee it’s a girl”

They took pity on the poor equipment we had and gave her a pair of gauntlets.

Nothings changed when I was Don R in Germany we had the same rubbish equipment.

They had to have men’s names probably because of the different times and protection, she was called Bobby.

Today I am riding in Bobbys memory. ❤️

It was quite a day today.
Not far or fast but lots of stops.

The eyes and posture of the memorial statue got me in the heart.
Those who have served will recognise the feeling.

Beautiful quiet roads at times.

The canal boat over head was a surprise.

So many friendly people.

Here are a few of the highlights.
