Road trip

We are in Las Cruces now. Busto, thanks for the tips. I will for sure look over to see Mexico. Looked on the map and it seems there is nothing between El Paso and Fort Stockton! Hopefully we stay behind the rain! I will post some pics when I can dl them to the laptop.

Be sure to Fill up in Ft Stockton....looks like a lot of exits btwn EP and San Antonio but nothing but ranch roads with no Services.....Exactly nothing but open nothing....Some Big Wind Farms is about all....Be safe...oh and the Speed Limit is 80mph
so if you need to kick it up you can....Yeah Mexico is that Dusty area south of I-10...The Most dangerous City in the Northern Hemisphere 2000+ murders last year in Juarez Mexico...Bad Bad Bad..rare to have clouds good luck with the rain...

Finally made it to our half way point! Juarez was nasty looking. We even went through a border patrol check point. That was exciting.

How awesome that my friend is being a huge drama king. I ditched him and am stuck in ft stockton tx. Wth. Taking a bus to San Antonio and will fly home. Guess the person with no license shouldnt start something with the only person helping him. Just sayin'. Keeping fingers crossed that I get a flight outta SA tomorrow. Hah never a dull moment. And I thought Halloween was going to be boring this year!?

Not a problem at all! It was a hoot talking with you. :) Also glad you got to sample some Taco Cabana, goood stuff. :D

I haven't been up that early in a while, nice to watch the sun come up after the rain.

We hope to see both of you sometime, there's so much to show the both of you. The Alamo is only the tip of the iceberg.

The wife and I got to meet one of those checkpoints in the 90's while helping trailer a car from El Paso for a friend. Those fellows were all over that car, and my truck. :p I guess they figured illegals could hold on to the bottom of the truck from El Paso. :p Or we were carrying recreational medicine. That rheumatism can get a person all kinds of pained. ;)

Mmmmmm wish I had some Taco Cabana right now! Breakfast tacos, yummy. The hubby whipped up an awesome soup last night. It had diced hamsteak, brussel sprouts and potato in a creamy base. Perfect after my adventure.
Unfortunately I got very few pics from the trip because I was driving but will eventually post what I have.
