And if it makes you feel any better...

Hey, at least you joked ethnicity and weight in your original post.

Congratulations jackass!

Professor.

Hey professor, I didn't joke ethnicity brightspark, read the post again.
Sniper, I don't think your post deserves a reply.

Here I am reading this nice post about a guy's first Strider purchase and then it turns into this wierd finger pointing...thing.

Now I don't know Vinnie, never bought a knife from him (yet) nor do I know Chris. I do however know what a pain in the @ss customer I can be. Just ask Patrick at TAD. I write this not to stick my head into something that is none of my business but because I could have easily been in Chris' position or worse. Being new to Strider knives, I have not had the luxury of handeling all of their different models.

Much of the time I have to rely on what others say and what information I can gather from the seller. What should I get? a WB, a BT, an MH...It's sometimes hard to choose if all you got to go on is pictures on a web site. Sometimes I like one then I change my mind. Usually I try to do this before I order. But I look for dealers that can work with me. That's why I like TAD. I bought something from them and Oh my God, I actually changed my mind and returned it the next day. Were they pissed? Probably. I suppose they could have told me too bad or you have to keep that model becuse that's the one you decided on - But no, they worked with me. I ended up spending more money there then I would have had I kept the original item. Sometimes in business it's the transactions that don't go smoothly at first that end up starting great relationships, depending upon how they are handled.

I plan on buying a lot more Strider Knives in my lifetime. Most of the people that post here can probably say the same. If I happen to do something wrong because I am not quite with it or maybe I don't understand something, please dealers don't write me off your list as a potential customer, because if you work with me I promise that you will have an income stream from me that will more than make up for it.

Sorry to ramble on,

S.

Chris,
It sounds like 2sniper may have caught a stray one in the head. I think he shoots rubber boomerang bullets.

I don't see how crack central is making fun of anyones ethnicity, its making fun of the city, I dont think it really matters as its not the point of the post.

Chris,

This post is not doing you any favors. When you mess your shorts it is sometimes best to be discreet. You lied and got caught. Anyone can makes a mistake, that does not entitle you to brag about it.

For your own good, forget this thread and go play on another part of the Forum. Then give it some thought and try to do better next time.

Lifter4him,
I'm not a Vet I'm still on active duty. That's what I do for a living.

As for everyone else ya I may have over reacted, but at no time did I not mean a word I said nor would I ever apoligize for my actions or words. I tried taking this away from the forum because it wasn't appropriate, but the little punk thought he could score points by putting my private e-mail to him on the forum. Me selling knives or making money selling knives never comes before honor. And Chris you have no honor. Which by the way is one of the Marine Corps Values. Most of your replys have a lot of validity. And I do over react to a lot of things. But just as Strider Knives chooses who to and who not to do business so do I. I have sold a lot of knives for Mick and Duane and have never once had a problem untill now. And it seems I'm not the only one that has had a problem with Chris. I am glad that there is such an interest in what I'm doing. Chris's last effort to try and make himself out to be the good guy is to try and tarnish my name and reputation. Well that will never happen. For above all I have honor. When the begging little bastard asked for a discount I told him I would pay his shipping for him. Did I have to do that? No is that bad business? You tell me. I went out of my way to inform him a lot about Strider and there company. Is that bad Business? You tell me. It wasn't bad business untill I told him he was a punk for backing out of a deal. Which he was. Now all of a sudden a a monster. Oh well. And again I tried to hanlde it out of the forum, but the little kid brought it back in. Chris I leave you with this. Your right you don't know me, you don't know what I've done, what I do now, and what I will do in the future. But I will be damned if I'm going to let some little kid try and punk me out.

I'm not going to post on this anymore Vinnie. You keep bringing up the Marine Corps to take people's attention away from the original point of the argument. Let's remember who started this argument Vinnie, You did. You opened up the can of worms when you decided to post about something that happened a week ago. I though you were a nice guy a week ago, I actually liked you. But today you turned into a raging monster here for reasons that are beyond belief. I've had people screw up while trading with be before, I've had people back out of deals, and I've had people not tell me the correct condition of knives they were sending. Whether intentional or not, I never took it public like you did, and I don't hold it against them. You tried to take it away from the forums my ass. You can't control your anger and had to spew some more crap at me over private email. If you could have been civil and talked like a normal human being this post wouldn't be here now. But you didn't and you aren't. I don't hold grudges Vinnie, especially about things as petty as trading or selling a knife on the internet. The fact that you are getting bent out of shape about this is absolutely pathetic. You really are some kind of ******* talking to me like you did. Not that this has anything to do with this thread, but, I've joined the Marine Corps. I would figure that if you were the great honor bound Marine that you claim to be, you would try and counsel the young and ignorant instead of threatening them Vinnie. It turns out that you are an prick and a bully, and a shoddy business man to boot; and I would think twice if you think these posts here today will have no affect on your business in the future. You think you deserve respect by using the word Honor. I have news for you, you don't deserve anymore of my time.

Ok Vinnie P., didn't realize you were still active duty.
Surely there's gotta be more to the bad blood between you two. As a dealer you must have had someone cancel an order before.
But like Kampfjaeger said, this is really none of my business and I'm out of here.

Dave

I hate it when I can't let well enough alone and let something die...

Canceling an order happens often-sure. You call up, know what you want, then call back later that day (or soon after) and say "I've changed my mind"-that happens. What is uncool is to hem and haw and haggle down a price, go through all the comms with the seller, and afterwards, tell him you'll take it and that the "check is in the mail" or about to be, then pull out. You are getting someone to bend over backwards to help you with a deal, then you jump somewhere else.
In my opinion, that's the bad business here. And if you can't stand a few insults and cusswords, you need some de-sensitivity training.
Online more than ever, your word is the most important thing (right up there with your credit card!) you can't shake hands at a deal, or look each other in the eye-but you can give your word-and there is nothing more important.
OK, end of rant.
cheers,
Derek

Ok,
You said you won't post any more so now I'll say I won't (again) Your little saying the older Marine cousiling the younger. Well first off your not a Marine so don't ever make that statement again untill you have earned it. I brought the Marine thing into this because how you act now is how you will act when you try to become a Marine. And let me tell you things won't be easy for you when you pull what you did. It's obvious you know everything and no one can tell you anything, so this is a lession you will have to learn on your own. And at the rate your going it will be a painfull lession. As far as my business in the future. Your little words could never hurt my business, because my business is being a Marine. And right now business is going to get a lot better. And once again if you can't handle a little name calling and a threat, well like you've done to everyone else around here BACK OUT OF YOUR MARINE CORPS CONTRACT. TELL THEM IT'S NOT WHAT YOU WANTED AND JOIN AN ORGANIZATION YOU CAN HANDLE LIKE THE GIRL SCOUTS.

Vinnie, I owe you an apology. I still think that you did overreact to what happened, but I am beginning to think that there was more to this whole mess than I first thought. Again, let me apologize for sticking my nose where it does not belong.

Edited for spelling, again.

I don't know what goes on in California (although I spent 2 1/2 years at Camp Pendleton), but over here in New Jersey you do not mess with anyone named Vinnie, period. The simple solution is to raffle off a Strider Knife to the DI personnel at MCRD San Diego compliments of the future recruit. Make sure that you show up to Boot Camp with a few knives in your travel bag. An earring wouldn't hurt either.

Dear Vinnie,
You posted you had "STRIDERS", I responded that I wanted an MFS. I shipped you (MY SON gifted me!!!) out a Postal MO, and wham, TODAY I got a Beautiful, PROFESSIONALLY packaged MFS, the paperwork, your Buisness card ( I WILL NEED that:D ;) ) and a great little momento to put on my sport coat.
The DEAL went smooth as glass. You HAD the goods, I COMMITTED via an E-mail that I WANTED it, WE HAD A DEAL!!!!
That is the ONLY way I do BUSINESS!!!!
But wait one minute. I HAD to be TAUGHT THIS:o :( I have backed out of two deals, in search of better ones, BUT did so BEFORE they were even removed from a safe, the words "deal pending " were posted and within an hour or so. That still was a class-less act on my part.
Chris is not being KEWL, but maybe he too just needs to be taught the finer points of dealing with the BIG-GUNS here on BF. Honor above LOYALTY, HONOR, HONOR, HONOR......Be safe, be VIGILANT....wolf
edited for spelling

Ketsugo,

Rubber boomerang bullets, huh? And there you go with your "I think" sh!t again. Whats wrong, too much of a pussy to make a defenetive statement? Then when someone confronts you, you'll start with, "I didn't say he DID that, I just said that I THINK he did that..." sh!t. You're the biggest punk in here, can't even stand by your words.

As a matter of fact you strke me as a little kid. You know this is a grown-up folks forum. Why don't you go somewhere else, and take your buttbuddy Connely with you.

Oh, In case I din't make myself clear, YOU ARE A PUNK, AND SO IS CONNELY.

2Sniper,
You are a Douche-Bag. Plain and simple. Go f#ck yourself. Is that clear enough for you?

It is all to easy to throw out words from behind a computer screen.Of all who are involved in this "pissing" match I wonder who would be standing watching the ambulance drive away.If it were not for the miracle of cyberspace, and they were face to face.Just kind of wondering.;) Might just suprise some of you.
