Roast Mutton

Goats are the best farm animal IMO. One day I will have a place with goats and chickens and one lama or a donkey to protect them and be a happy redneck.

I love goats, we had a mating pair when I was young. They did our bush hogging and we kept the offspring for meat and collected milk from the nanny. They are really col animals with a lot of personality.

Lol. Take the man outta crowley, cant take the crowley out the man. Make sure you got some rice and soybean fields to attract that fowl. I grew up hunting right down the road in gueydan. Dont get back there as often as id like sadly.

As for your mutton, I concur; exceedingly well done.

As a kid, I had Goats, Sheep, turkeys chickens, ducks, a goose, cats and dogs. Sometimes we'd even help friends raise and care for their Horses, cows and the like. Miss the big yard and animals. We're looking at getting chickens and ducks again. Loved the goats milk.

Some of my neighbors raise goats for milk, they also raise sheep for the milk. The scout master has a sheep farm and they are raised for the milk and wool. He makes more on the milk then the wool.

Love mutton and lamb, eat it ever chance I get. There was a church camp out for the guys last summer and Dutch oven mutton was the main course. I ate so much mutton and dutch oven potatoes that night and the next day. :D

LOL, I walked away from most of hollywood shortly after Apocalypse now :) It took them doing LOTR to get me back in a theater :) And I still prefer books to television...

Brian, I am in the woods probably every 3rd weekend... I cook a bunch in the outdoors. You used no pots, no utensils, only a Fiddleback and MAN, that looks good!!!!

Thanks Will. I grew up spending a lot of time living in camps along rivers doing commercial fishing and trapping. In that life style heating up a quick snack had a little different meaning :D

Sorry, I had accidentally deleted some of the wrong images from that album, so you didn't get the full effect but they're back now :)

Why must you temp me to buy a production bushfinger.
I have two handmade ones already!

Haha, that's what I said to myself as I sharked one of the production ones in last weeks Fiddleback Friday! It's joined my two custom ones (one of which is also in the CPM S35VN), and I have to say...I love it!

It's 5/32" S35VN, ghost Jade G10, with nat canvas liners and pins. Here it is with a 1/8th O1 Bushfinger, and 1/8th O1 hidden tang Bushcraft Karda, and 12" machete:
