Rob Brown - Chute & Sub Hilt

Very nice looking pair.

That Chute is very sweet!

Fit and finish look to be first rate on these. Thanks for sharing the photos.

Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing the sheaths for those knives! The F&F of every Rob Brown sheath is ALSO a work of art, IMHO.

I think Rob does a really fantastic job. The length of the blade on the Sub-Hilt is actually 1/4" shorter that a Loveless Big Bear, or a Lovett for that matter. I have noticed the slightly unbalanced look of Robs Bear before. He grinds it a lot narrower that ours. Rob and Keep in touch, and I think I will run this by him the next time we communicate. Considering that Rob has never seen, much less a real Big Bear, I think he is doing a bang-up rendition. In fact, knowing Rob, I have no doubt that he will be quite happy to get the opinions here. Mike
Here is a pair of 8 1/2" Sub Hilts for comparison. A Lawndale Big Bear, that is some what narrower than a Current Riverside Loveless. And a Current Lovett Big Bear made to the Current Loveless Shop Dimensions. As you can see, they are even longer than than Robs, but you would never guess so by the pic's. Mike and Manuela
