ROB CRISWELL KATANA SWORD, "Made in USA"
WITHDRAWN - MOVED TO AN AUCTION TO SELL
BLADE is 27" inches long, handle is 12" long (ie, 39" overall). Razor sharp A-2 Tool Steel, hardened to 61RC on the edge for maximum toughness & edge holding durability, with back spine softened for some flexibility to 58RC. Appears to be unused, with what appears to be the original razor sharp edge.
The HANDLE is wrapped with black para-cord and has that comfortable/secure feel when held in your hands.
The SCABBARD is black G-10 material.
I bought this from a buddy who needed money without any intention but to eventually sell it, and it's now been in a closet for around six years since then.
It had quite a bit of gunk protecting the steel, but some had become too "thick" so I used a little Simichrome to clean it up. There are a few minor, tiny spots here and there, but nothing I would consider problematic at all. It's in great shape, but I would not consider it mint. Let the images tell the story. These Criswell swords are, from what I've been told over time, some of the best working blades around. Check out the blade carefully because I am not an expert on Criswell grinds at all. Sure does have a scary damn sharp edge on it!
This listing will be withdrawn/locked on Sunday, Dec 16 and moved to an auction, if not sold here by then.
