I don't know a lot about this but I am the original owner. I purchased this direct from Rob in 1998 or 1999. I believe he did very few of these. At least I have not seen another as of yet. What I do know is this is a slip joint and it appears the bolsters can be removed though I have never done it. Blade steel is 440V which is was a big fan of when it first came out. The scales are exhibition snake wood.
The knife is in very good to excellent used condition and has been sharpened. Overall length is 7.5" and blade length is about 3.5".
I am asking $1000 OBO and here is why. Rob was a great maker and the knife world lost him at a fairly early age. This is not the type of knife he was known for and it believe it may be quite rare. Also this is a knife that Rob did actually make with his own 2 hands. Also I have not seen another like it offered for sale.
