He fellas,
I was just contacted by this guy....Robert Acciarito about doing a review of one of my knives for a web site about army tech.
Something seems a little fishy. He said he saw one of my knives at the shot show....a chisel tip blade with micarta handles! I don't ever recall making one of those.
Talking on the phone with him today he said something about the knife community being tight knit....and we are;) so this is why I'm comming to you.
Anyone hear of/from him?
Mace

Just saw that after posting! Think I might just send him something nice.;)

I recommend a box with a turd in it :D maybe throw in some orbitz chewing gum :)

I had a scammer contact me the other day via a relay call. A relay call is when a deaf person types the message and a relay service interacts with you. Apparently there is a growing number of scammers working in this way.

I have three buckets of dog-turds I just scooped out of the yard yesterday. If you want me to send him some, let me know.

Just spoke with Robert tonight............he said he could prove his good name to me on monday. I sure hope he does.

Robert, Since you said you have seen this post please feel free to speak up if you feel the need.
Mace

I would like you all to encourage Robert Acciarito to clear his good name as soon as he can.
Tell him how you all feel. I'm sure it is important to him. He is watching.;)

Yea dont hold your breath on that, Tell him if he wants to evaluate your knife to pay what its worth and after he returns it undamaged and the article is written you will reimburse him his money.
Chris

Hey Mace, what's the website? If you want you can pm me his email addy and phone number. I think Chris has a good idea too. I have some experience with this kind of thing, so if you want my help, I'd be happy to offer it.

BE WARNED!!!!!
Robert Acciarito is a lying scam artist!!!
DO NOT send him anything.

I spoke with him on the phone today and he admitted to me that he was trying to scam me. I told him I was going everyplace I knew to expose him. He called me back about two min. later to say he was sorry. I said I know he is.
I would like to post as much info as I have on him but am not sure about the forum rules on this kind of thing.

Robert Acciarito, I know you will be reading this at some point....
I want you to know that you messed with the wrong cat!
Mace

Do you have his address? If so go to the book store and collect dozens of the subscription post cards from every magazine you can fine, and subscribe him to them. If he spent more time reading he wouldnt have time to be a con artist and those magazine people are A holes about wanting their money. If you have a street address on him and not a PO box you can get allot more creative than that. Have fun!

I say go to a home and garden show and put his name down for all the septic tank cleaning...

This sh$t pisses me off so much. Most of us makers make very little profit and one good scam or thievery can nearly ruin us.I wished it was legal to shoot these guys just as if they had broken into our homes. The lowest pits of hell eagerly await their company and I wish we could expedite the process.

What a scumbag, I hate scumbags.
Hopefully the next potential victim will be pointed to this post by google.
I love the internet.
Chris

Thats why I have been posting his name ROBERT ACCIARITO in all caps!
Mace;)

If you'd like Mace. here is a link to his place of business "contact us" site. his Linkdin profile says he's an IT manager for them... many times especially for management employees, the company has rules on how to conduct ones self outside of work as well. and many of them enforce steep penalties up to and including termination for acting like a fool outside of work. Especiallly for criminal behaviour. A simple call to thier security dept should alert the right people to his conduct unbecoming and unethical and illegal dealings outside of work.

Oh yea kick him in the nuts and set him on fire!

You're supposed to have fun with these idiots. Next time see if you can get some prepaid postage and tape it to a refrigerator box full of dirt and mark it hazmat 1.1 explosives. That should cost him a decent penny.

Wasting their time and money is the best thing you can do. The second best is to find out who they are and start making it publically known that they're a lying cheating scammer. Like running an ad in the paper, contacting their employers, and family. Just watch the legalities of this first. If hes scammed you and admited it, its not slander or libel.
