Robert Appleby Knife

I purchased a very nice hunter/gentleman's knife from Robert Appleby, knife maker. It is one of the loveliest custom knives I own, built with much loving care and art. It was scrimmed by his wife with the face of a wolf, and it reminds me of a very refined "puukko", though much more modern in design.

I would recommend Robert to anyone that wants true value in a knife, containing workmanship, art, and that nameless something we might call "spirit" in steel.

I heartily second that recommendation. I purchased Bob's big bowie that he had on sale in the makers section. What a fabulous piece of work !! And the price he was asking is quite reasonable.
