Hey guys!
A while back I had Robert Hankins (Aka Blinker) make me a recurve fighter. When I got it, it was EXACTLY what I had ordered. However, I had asked him to bevel the edge for chopping, as I intended to use it as a camp knife, and general all around abuse tool. Well, he did it exactly like I asked him to, but when I got it I absolutely hated the edge that was on it. (my own damn fault for trying to tell a professional how to make a knife!!!)
Anyway, I emailed Robert and he told me to send it to him for a little work. I got it back earlier this week, and just now had a chance to play with it. MAN! What an edge!!! This thing slices thru 10 oz leather like butter!
To show you what a great guy Hankins is, he would not allow me to pay him for the work, nor would he even let me pay for the return shipping! He paid about $10 out of his own pocket to insure and ship it back to me when it was MY fault that it needed to be re-ground!
If you need to have a knife made, Hankins is the man!
