robert hawk knives

I wondered what the notch was for lol. I have seen his add in Backwoodsman mag.
It looks like a solid knife.

I just received my Robert Hawk Knife in the mail today. What a beauty. I took some photos of it and of the brochure I received after mailing him. I put off getting this for awhile now because of snail mail. But Mr. Hawk is very prompt in a reply by mail. He is quicker than some emails I have waited on. I did not call him on the phone, but I'm sure it's just as pleasant as receiving the handwritten letters from him. He explains everything in detail and will answer any questions that you have.
Once I received the brochure from him, I sent in my order request with down payment, and he responded quickly to let me know I received it. He originally quoted end of August for the knife to be finished, but as you can read, it only took one month to make. Mr. Hawk has been making knives since 1969, and over the years polished his craftmanship and settled on a good quality knife.
Hopefully the pictures come out and help garner some more interest for the Robert Hawk Knife, since I'm sure not everyone subscribes to the Backwoodsman Magazine like I do.

One side of the brochure he sends on first contact with you. (There is one side missing because I had to send it in for my order.)

Close up of description as seen on the brochure page.

Mr. Hawk's ad as you would see in the Backwoodsman Magazine. His contact info is there so you can go ahead and get yours ordered.

Absolt247 I see that the notch in your knife is different from sadiejanes. Has Mr Hawk changed the notch or was that something you requested?

Yeah, he does different types of notches. This is more of a finger/thumb rest, but it could probably be used for a pot snatcher. He will do other handles, or any other customizations you may have in mind (of course, at a higher cost). But his prices are great for a top notch (possibly a bad joke right there) knife.
