Here for your viewing and hopefully purchasing pleasure, is a Robert Papp Mediterranean-style fighter. I purchased this knife probably 15 years ago. I believe the steel used was 440C, and the blade is hollow ground with Bob's typically perfect grinds. I believe the handle is linen Micarta, and it is secured by eight stainless steel pins. This is a full tang handle, and the handle scales are beautifully contoured and the handle lays well in the palm of your hand.
OAL = 10 1/8", the blade length measured from the tip of the blade to the start of the Micarta scale is 5 3/8", the blade thickness is .182 & the width is 1 1/4" at its widest.
The sheath is a simple but very well-made by Portsmouth Ohio maker Jim Layton. It is quite stiff and is intended to be held in the waistband and then tied to your belt with a lanyard that is tied through the holes at the mouth of the sheath.
The blade exhibits a mirror finish, but there are some very fine scratches present. The tip of this blade is very strong. Personally, if I were to keep this knife, I think it would beg to be carried in a shoulder rig of some sort. It feels very "alive" in the hand. If you're preference is for guardless and quick/light fighters, this would be a good one for you, especially at this price.
I think this is also one of the most graceful knives I have ever owned...
