I have a beautiful #44 "Company Buisness" guardless fighter with the original inside the pants sheath. This knife was made in the 80's out of a solid bar of ats-34. .025 thick The top edge is sharpened with thumb notches , and the bottom edge has forfinger notches. 10 3/4 o.a.l. blade is 5 3/4. Black Micarta scales with stainless pins. This knife is unused , never sharpened or carried. Robert Rippy was a combat knifemaker/designer long before it was cool. He developed knives for the D.E.A. , The Special Forces , and Black Ops. Greg Walker author/publisher , and Green Beret was a close personal friend of his ,and spoke very highly of his work.
